VBHC Professional Certificate Program
The Health Value Academy team was part of the academic team that created Dartmouth College's Master of Health Care Delivery Science program and created the University of Texas at Austin's Master of Science in Health Care Transformation program. In addition, our team has worked with more than 45 organizations around the world on an array of health care transformation projects.
Recognizing the significant time and financial investment required for a master's degree program as well as the lack of an integrated curriculum in many executive education programs, we designed the VBHC Professional Certificate program certified by ICHOM. This program is affordable and manageable, requiring about 3 hours per week for 15-weeks. This program equips health care leaders with the insights, skills, and transformation roadmaps to effectively lead health care transformation.
The program's fully online format ensures it is accessible to participants globally, while its 10 interactive sessions allow participants to learn the how-to of transformation through facilitated case analyses and discussions.
In collaboration with International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM), we officially launched the ICHOM-Certified Value-Based Health Care Professional Program in January 2025.
While this Certificate Program is rooted in the concepts of Michael Porter and Elizabeth Teisberg’s groundbreaking 2006 book: Redefining Health Care - it is laser-focused on practical implementation of VBHC.
